The material you are searching for is not available in the KAMK library?
You can make an acquisition proposal or you can request an interlibrary loan from another Finnish library. Interlibrary loan fee is 9 € but there is also a free interlibrary connection with University of Oulu and OAMK libraries and The National Repository Library services all libraries.
Licenced e-materials are available for students and staff by signing in to KAMK Finna with an KamIT-account.
More information about the user rights concerning the use of e-materials you can find on FinELib or asking from the library.
The purpose of this guide is to showcase useful resources and tools to help students in their research and thesis writing process. The guide focuses on books, journals and databases that have been acquired by the KAMK library but also includes resources on the Internet.
Before you start searching for information in the numerous databases, it is useful to plan your search keywords. Write down which keywords are relevant to your topic and also list possible synonyms. You can utilize different vocabularies in this, for example MOT Dictionaries or Finto.fi.
It is also advised to think your topic broadly and not to narrow down your search results too much particularly in the beginning of the information seeking task. If the search parameters are too narrow, many relevant sources might not be found.
