Below is an video of how to upload a thesis to Theseus Open Repository.

After saving

After saving, the work will appear in Theseus, when the collection supervisor of your university of applied sciences has checked the thesis information. If the thesis is not accepted, you will receive a notification to the e-mail address you provided. When you have made the necessary corrections to the work, you can save your work again in Theseus.

Publicity of the thesis

A thesis written in a public educational institution is in principle a public document (Finnish Constitution 12.2 §, Publicity Act 1 §). The thesis report is therefore a public document that must not include confidential material. The publicity of the thesis ensures the fair assessment of the thesis.

It is not possible to write completely confidential theses at KAMK. If the thesis must include confidential material for a compelling reason, it may not be included in the thesis report that forms the basis for the assessment. If the thesis contains confidential material, it must be mentioned in the summary of the thesis report.

Examples of thesis writing options:

1. The thesis report and its appendices are written in such a way that it does not contain confidential material, but is completely public. In other words, the thesis and appendices together form a single unit that is to be assessed.

2. A public, assessed version of the thesis report and appendices is prepared. In addition, a separate appendix or report is prepared for the client, which contains confidential information. This section is not taken into account in the assessment of the actual thesis.
