KAMK's guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence/supportive intelligence:

KAMK's guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence/supportive intelligence:
  1. Artificial intelligence is a tool that everyone needs in today's and future studies and work life. Therefore, its use is accepted and encouraged at KAMK. Students are guided to use artificial intelligence from the beginning of their studies.
  2. Artificial intelligence is a good supportive intelligence. It can be used, for example, in idea generation and creating draft texts.
  3. The use of artificial intelligence should be mentioned in assignments (according to instructions).
  4. Confidential information should not be inputted into artificial intelligence applications. The data privacy of the application may be insufficient, and free versions may not have any data privacy at all.
  5. Artificial intelligence is not always right and may not consider ethical perspectives. Its utilization requires students to have the ability for critical thinking and the skill to assess and use sources appropriately.

Examples of ways to prevent plagiarism

  • The assignment is unique and requires interaction between the student's own work and theory, for example.
  • Competence can be made visible in various ways, such as through videos and group discussions.
  • Sources must be mentioned in both the text and the reference list in learning assignments.
  • Students include a report on information retrieval and used sources in their assignments.
