Getting to know the subject

Getting to know the topic

Choose the topic of your thesis: get to know the literature and current discussion of the topic you are interested in. Explore different ways to complete a thesis. Look for potential partners in working life.
Browse previous theses

In Finna.fi: you will find theses done by others. From there, you get ideas and new perspectives on the topic and the model for making.

Theses references may be useful even if you do not use them as sources in your own work. Be critical of theses as a source.

Idea and structure your topic

Map out the key concepts of your topic

Create keywords and combinations of them from concepts. As an aid, you can use, for example, concept and mind maps.
